I sold on eBay as a power seller for almost 10 years.

I was there when it was fun and profits were big.

 Let me do some easy math for you.

 9 years ago:

An example, some people higher, some lower.

                Go to the Swap Meet, fill up your car with goodies for about $230

                Easily list and sell that stuff on eBay in 1 week, make……….. $3000

                                                                                                Seller fees, Maybe …$70

                                                                                                                        Profit …$2700

                                                                                  Pay some bills + needs…… $1100

                                                                             Buy something fun on Ebay … $400

                                                                       Left over to get more product….$800

 Now

 Go to swapmeet or sale, stuff is higher priced because they went

              to see what it goes for on eBay 1^st . Small box of stuff spend ..$230

               List it on eBay, if buyers pay or if you even get bid, make …..$600

                                                                                                             Seller fees ……$100

                                                                                                                      Profit……$270

                                                                                                                 Pay a bill….$200

                                                                                               Buy a few groceries….$50

                                                                                Left over for more Product… $20

                                                                                          Need gas to get to sale… $10

                                                                                                                Find 1 item… $10

                                                                                             List and sell on eBay.…$50

                                                                                           Seller and paypal fees ...$7

                                                                                                                           Profit….$23

                                               Buyer says he never got it, Paypal pulls out .. $50

                                                     Only $23 there, Paypal pulls from bank …-$27

                                                                       No money there, bank charges …-$33

                                                                                                      In the negative ….-$60
