Romper’s Choice Dog Treat Recipe

A great homemade dog treat recipe. I don’t remember where I got it from, but I made a bunch when I worked at the animal hospital and the dogs loved them.
Romper’s Choice
1 egg
2 Tbsp. Wheat germ
4 large figs
½ cup water
1 tsp. Herbal broth concentrate (1 bouillion cube)
2 cups unbleached flour
2 Tbsp. sunflower oil
In a blender combine egg, wheat germ, water, oil and broth concentrate. Cut the figs into tiny pieces and add to liquid mixture. (do not liquefy figs. Let them remain in tiny pieces) Put flour into bowl and slowly stir in liquid and begin forming dough. Knead for a few minutes, then set aside for about 10 minutes.
Roll dough out to about ¼” thickness and form into desired shapes. Chef like these to be 1 ½” bones. Put bones into a 350 degree oven for about 20 minutes. Turn down to 200 degrees for another 30 minutes. Leave treat in oven overnight and let them dry naturally.
