What a fantastic movie. I’ll probably see it a couple more times because it is so visually busy.
What was even more intense was the crowd that came to see it and midnight.
I went to the theater about 11 in the morning to get tickets. They had 4 of their theaters showing Transformers and 2 were already sold out. Later we showed up there around 8:30 pm and there was about 20 other fans hanging around waiting.
Soon they added a couple more theater rooms to the list.
One thing that was nice, was at 9:30 they let people in to sit in the theaters no matter the room number, so people wouldn’t be sitting all over the place waiting. We got good seats and could relax for a few hours. By this time they had opened 2 more theater rooms to the movie. All selling out in minutes.
Boy did we luck out! Good parking and a good seat. I couldn’t believe so many waited till the last minute.
People excited, Transformer experts talking to each other. People playing cards and reading. Also the theater staff came in with coolers of stuff for people to buy right there so people didn’t get stuck in the lobby. But of course we had to see anyways. The lobby was crowded and a huge thick line of people waited for other theater rooms to open up. The parking lot was insane.
I asked the guys how they can show so many of the same movie at once. They said one reel can feed 15 of the theater rooms.
It was amazing they loaded up all 15 theaters, sold out. Over 2000 people all watching Transformers at the same time. After it was over we just waited by the car till the traffic was thinned. I never saw a midnight showing so popular.
