2 Relaxation posts + a Free Whittling book

Just to be different I made 2 Squidoo lenses with mostly photos of things that are relaxing.
One for gals
And one for guys
One thing I am learning is that stress is a big cause of disease, because it causes the body to produce low acid levels. Relaxing when possible is so important. I made these lenses as a reminder for people to relax.
I hope to find something to offer for free in the gals relax lens, but I do have a free PDF in they guys lens on how to whittle. It’s a photocopy of a very old pamplet for boy scouts. No obligation, just go to the guy’s relaxation lens, find the link and it will go straight to the PDF.
Been Busy with New Kitten and Squidoo

There he is, sleeping.
We got a new kitten which is a blessing. He adds a great energy.
I felt like normal again, when I sat on the couch and pretty soon the pets were sleeping on and around me.
See we had lost 3 senior pets in a year’s time. We got a puppy, but I’m not much for small dogs, he is Jim’s. I still wanted a cat. Well one happened along as usual when required.
The kitten and the dog are so cool together. There’s more on the kitten here with more photos.
Mean while I have decided to give Squidoo more attention. People make good money there, but I can’t learn it by not taking it seriously. I came across a lens for a group that has a contest with other groups to help people get to what they call “Giant Squidoo” a badge of privilages for those with 50 or more nice lenses. So I signed up with them, they will help and encourage me. I have till Sept. 30th to get about 40 more done. I can’t take that time lightly because a lens can take time to make. I personally make them a bit long.
As a part of their entrance examination, I had to do a lens on myself. So I worked in a tour of my home with the events of introducing a new kitten into the clan.
I also will be working for Bernie again in teh middle of the month. I will have to write out stuff while I am there and load it up to a lens when I get back.

A Great Stress Reducing Hobby … Trains

Trains are something you can sink into and forget your worries.
Some people think it’s just about the locomotives, but you can have fun with the train scenery with out the locos. I use my little HO people and animals for photos and videos all the time. You can make little towns and scenes. If you are into video games, you can even make war or Mad Max type scenery.
Personally I like forest and farms. I also like to collect odd train cars and unusual locos. I used to make trees and sell them on Ebay.
Well anyways, here are 3 Squidoo lenses on getting into the hobby.
The first is to help people decide what scale or size they have room for. Apartment people can keep Z or N scale easily.
Then the N scale and HO scale show you that there is more to trains than just the Locos.

Squidoo does work people. I do the basics. Keep it updated with new stuff, alt tags in the photos, Twitter it, Facebook it, I have the links on some of my cat videos, some banners here and there. But basically it’s a fun lens full of information for people to get exposure for their cat.
It’s fun to see it right up there on google.
Internet Fame for Your Cat

For many years I have submited my cat’s photos to different places on the web.
I didn’t think much of it till one day Webshots had decided to make a book with photos of cats from thier members. Well one of my cats made the cut and she was published in a book that sells at the store.
Over time my cats have been featured in other places. It’s a ton of fun!
I made a Squidoo lens about how you can do the same. I don’t make anything form the lens, it is just for fun.
I’m really enjoying the lens being in the top 100 of the animal catagory the past month or so. The first photo here is the lens at #83
Here the lens is at #48. It bounces around depending on traffic.
Today it hit #16. Yahoo! Thanks to Squidoo Angels blessings and hard work getting traffic.
