Hi!
Thanks for visiting!
I go by “Ro”, short for Rochelle, it’s easier for people to remember.
I love working on Squidoo,  so when I joined a Squidoo group to help me get to Giant Squid, this was a required Lens – Here’s my entrace examination which tells some about me and my family.

My mother was very talented with drawing and crafts, and taught me to draw horses at a very young age. I assisted her with Sunday school crafts, then later sold some in stores. Lots of art classes in High school, then went to The Seattle Art Institute. I do portraits, murals, windows, crafts, models, sculpture, custom Breyers and restoration of broken antiques.

One thing I am known for is being Resourceful, by always having stuff that people need or being able to find something.

I am a CCL! Crazy Cat Lady. That is Pearl.

What I do

I am working on internet marketing and having a blast with that.  This is one of my first blogs  Catterrific Old Cats. I like to work in something I know, cats!

I was working in the pet industry for years, while doing that I got into Ebay 11 years ago when it was fun. I Currently sell vintage stuff at a mall space in Snohomish. I sell a few books on amazon, and some things on Ebay still but only if they are really worth my time. I have a few things on Bonanza.  I do lots of internet marketing and affiliate work.

I would like to start an Art and thrift store and/or do illustration.

 Why I am here

I moved to Seattle in 1985 to go to the Seattle Art Institute. Graduated in 1987 with a degree in Visual Communications. I never went into the field they taught us for, preferring the fine art more and working with animals. I certainly did learn how to do lettering quite well by hand and have used that quite a bit for assignments.

I’ve slowly moved north of Seattle over the years. “Drive till you qualify” I really like the city, but it’s nice to have a yard and fresh air.

My painted Chevy I had for 15 years

Place in space

North West Washington State, USA On an island called Camano Island.

No ferry goes here because the water is too shallow around the island, but there is a land bridge from a city called Stanwood.

Camano is about 60 miles north of Seattle.

At home I have a yard to garden in, 3 cats inside and some strays outside, a dog, 5 corn snakes, an old Zebra tarantula and some mice.

 About my personality

I’m a bit eccentric, and not the typical chick.

I will fix the car, plumbing, and build things. Just this last year I fixed a broken pipe and built a wood shed. I kept a 67 Chevy running for 15 years. My Father had a hardware store, so that what I know.

I never like girly stuff, so I lack some knowledge of proper dress and fashion. I’m happier hanging with a group of guys. I may sound like a buff chick, but I am very straight.

At one point I was raising Corn snakes. That was so neat to see the little babies hatching.

Likes and Loves

I’m defiantly and animal person. Cats at the top of the list, but I like just about all animals except some of the primates.

I collect Breyer horses and I also customize the broken ones.

I also collect Hot wheels, deer and cat figures and HO trains. Trains are great items to sell on Ebay, so I have learned quite a bit about them. So if you need any fixed, let me know.

My favorite shows are Stargate, Heros, and Survivor. With Stargate canceled, the reruns will still be my favorite. I can tell you which episode it is by just watching about 5 seconds. That’s how well I know it.

I will also watch Kings and Lie to me. Otherwise I’m on the computer or working on something.

From personality tests

When you have a team it’s a fun thing to have them do personality tests.  There are many out there.  Knowing your team better helps with communication on motivation.

 Auditory : 40%
Visual : 60%
Left : 62%
Right : 37%

Rochelle, you are somewhat left-hemisphere dominant and show a preference for visual learning, although not extreme in either characteristic. You probably tend to do most things in moderation, but not always. Your left-hemisphere dominance implies that your learning style is organized and structured, detail oriented and logical. Your visual preference, though, has you seeking stimulation and multiple data. Such an outlook can overwhelm structure and logic and create an almost continuous state of uncertainty and agitation. You may well suffer a feeling of continually trying to “catch up” with yourself. (Why I get info overload)

Your tendency to be organized and logical and attend to details is reasonably well-established which should afford you success regardless of your chosen field of endeavor. You can “size up” situations and take in information rapidly. However, you must then subject that data to being classified and organized which causes you to “lose touch” with the immediacy of the problem.

Your logical and methodical nature hamper you in this regard though in the long run it may work to your advantage since you “learn from experience” and can go through the process more rapidly on subsequent occasions. (I must do action)

With regards to your career choices, you have a mentality that would be good as a scientist, coach, athlete, design consultant, or an engineering technician. You can “see where you want to go” and even be able to “tell yourself,” but find that you are “fighting yourself” at the darndest times.

Another test I had taken basically said I could be a scientist and artist. I figure I should have been a Paleontologist  that could do painting of my findings.

I test high in IQ because of my Logic side. The IQ test is mostly logical.

 Kinesthetic

feeler, this one matches me well http://www.cuyamaca.edu/eops/dsps/resourceskin.asp

When people talk they use words that match what they are, so you should use the same sort of words.
Visual people use See, saw, seen, looks like.
Feeler people use Grasp, feel, hold of, and simular words.
Audio people use Hear, sounds like, heard, and so on.

 Relaters

Relaters are personal and practical in their approach to problem-solving. They have an innate ability to creating win-win solutions. Relaters value what is really important and desire to make a positive contribution to society. Blending loyalty with adventure, Relaters are fun friends and devoted partners, are caring and creative. They relish life and cherish relationships. Relaters are outgoing, friendly and well-liked. They are resourceful and inventive, with an ability to compromise to get the job done. They are team players that bring out the best in others. Warm and enthusiastic, they balance concern for others with a zeal for personal growth.

CVI Motivators: Genuine appreciation for a job done well, opportunities for personal growth, fun co-workers, teamwork, new experiences and an inspiring work environment.

CVI De-Motivators: Isolation, rigid routine, pressure-cooker deadlines, quenching creativity, disapproval and conflict.

Also in the color test, I’m in the middle of yellow and green. Caring and good with the computer.

Wow!  You made it this far, feel free to email me your name and address and I will send you a free Gratitude Cat Rock. I pay the shipping. It’s just something I do for people.

Be Sure to put “CAT ROCK” in the subject line so I see it through all the spam.

Thank you, and Take care
Rochelle

Rochelle, loved reading your blog and all about you. Really cool that you can work on a Chevy…my problem is I am spoiled as hubby is a mechanic so I let him do that stuff.

    Great job here,
